Tangkoko national park II

ทริปเช้านี่โหดหน่อย เพราะเริ่มเดินตอนตีสี่ครึ่ง อย่างแรกที่ไปดูก็เจ้าลิงดำที่เราเห็นเมื่อวานแป๊บนึงนั่นแหล่ะ แต่คราวนี้น่าตื่นเต้นมาก เพราะมากันฝูงใหญ่ส่งเสียงดังไปทั้งป่า ไม่รู้จะดูตัวไหนดีเลยล่ะ เค้าวิ่งเล่นกันไม่สนใจมนุษย์อย่างพวกเราเลย น่ารักมากๆดุลิงอยู่นานจนถ่ายรูปได้เป็นร้อย (แล้วก็ลบทิ้งไปเป็นร้อยเหมือนกัน) ก็เดินต่อไปดูรังนกเงือก

The morning trip was a bit difficult to start at 4:30! We first saw the black macaques again, but this time it was more exciting. There were lots and lots of them, like the whole jungle was full of the macaques! They were so cute, and we spent a lot of time there until we had shot dozens of photos (of which we later deleted dozens ;-).

ตอนเจอรังนึกว่าไกด์โม้ เพราะมองขึ้นไปที่โพรงไม้ที่เค้าชี้ให้ดู ไม่ได้เห็นอะไรทั้งสิ้น

จนกระทั่งเค้าบอกให้เราส่องกล้องดูสิ ถึงได้เห็นจุดสีเหลืองๆที่ปากโพรง ดูอยู่นานมากก็เห็นเจ้าจุดนั้นไม่ขยับ ในใจคิดว่าไกด์มั่วแหงๆ แต่เค้าบอกให้รอดูนะเพราะตัวผู้ออกไปหาอาหาร ตัวเมียที่เราเห็นน่ะเค้ารออยู่ เอ้ารอก็ได้ นั่งรอนอนรอ มองขึ้นซะเมื่อยคอแล้วเมื่อยคออีก พอทุกคนเลิกเงยคอก็มีเสียงพั่บๆๆ เอ๊ะอะไร ปรากฏว่าเจ้าจุดที่เล็งไว้บินออกมา กลายเป็นลูกนกเงือกค่ะ ยังบินไม่ค่อยเก่งเลย สักเดี๋ยวมีเสียงพั่บๆๆดังๆมาก พ่อนกก็บินมาแล้วส่งเสียงเรียกลูกให้ไปหา ดูยากมากเพราะเค้าอยู่สูงแล้วต้นไม้ก็รกๆ ส่วนแม่นกนั้น แค่บินผ่านมาแว๊ปเดียวแล้วก็บินต่อ

Then we moved to the hornbill nest, where the guide told us to look up at a hole near the tree top. We couldn't see anything without binoculars. With binoculars, well... a yellow spot! The guide said the yellow spot was a female hornbill waiting for a male to return from gathering food. We waited and waited for I don't know how long. At last, we heard the characteristic swooshing sound of a large bird, and the yellow spot turned out to be a baby hornbill! It couldn't even fly properly yet. The male came later to feed the young. Of the female, we heard only a swoosh sound when it once flew pass, but we didn't see it.

ที่ใกล้ๆรังนกมีต้น Fig ที่ใหญ่มากๆ เจ้า Fig ต้นนี้น่ะเค้าเป็นกาฝากเกาะบนต้นไม้อื่น แต่เกาะไปเกาะมาดูดกินต้นที่เกาะจนหายไป เหลือแต่ตัวเองยืนเป็นสง่า แล้วทิ้งโพรงไว้ให้เราดู ให้เห็นโครงร่างของต้นเดิมว่าเคยเป็นยังไง ใจร้ายเนอะ

This particular dramatic fig tree known as the 'Beringin Lobang' (hole tree). The host tree of this strangler died and rotted long ago. The fig remains as a freestanding tree with its hollow interior mirroring the form of the original host.

ระหว่างทางเดินกลับ ไกด์ชี้ให้ดูกิ้งก่าตัวเล็กๆแล้วบอกว่ามันบินได้นะ เราเห็นแต่มันกระโดดกะวิ่งไปมาอย่างรวดเร็ว ก็ไม่เชื่อไกด์อีกล่ะ เดินจนเจอตัวที่สามหรือสี่นี่แหล่ะถึงจะได้เห็นปีก ถ่ายรูปก็ยากมาก เพราะตัวมันเล็กแล้ววิ่งเร็วมาก พอกลับถึงที่พักก็ตรงรี่เข้าครัวทานอาหารเช้าด้วยความหิว

While we were heading back, the guide pointed to a small lizard he called flying lizard. We hardly believed him since we just saw it jump and ran :) He insisted that it had wings! We continued walking until we saw the 3rd or 4th lizard, then we finally saw the yellow wing-like thing stretching out of that lizard's body. We couldn't believe our eyes! When we got back, we were hungry enough to go straight for breakfast.

เหลือเวลาอีกตั้งหลายชั่วโมง กว่ารถจะมารับก็หลังเที่ยง จำได้ว่าเมื่อตอนเดินไปชายหาดเห็นร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวข้างทาง ต้องไปลองซักกะหน่อย เครื่องปรุงมีพริกตำกับอะไรอีกก็จำไม่ได้ มีเต้าหู้ทอดยัดไส้ด้วยล่ะ อร่อยสมใจ ถูกอีกต่างหาก หม่ำเสร็จก็ได้เวลารถมารับพอดี๊พอดี ไปลุยที่ใหม่ต่อดีกว่า We just had to make use of those few hours before the arrival of the pickup car from the next resort. We had seen a small noodle stall in the village the day before, so we gave it a try, and so learned the Indonesian words for various types of meat. The noodles and filled tofu were delicious! The pickup car came right on time. Time to continue our journey to a different part of North Sulawesi!
